Why are women getting abortions during their lifetime? Abortions are mostly done on women under the age of 25. They get them because one, they aren't responsible. Or they get them because they are not married or they are separated from their boyfriend. Many woman are poor and feel that they can't afford a child. Well my personal opinion on abortion is that no matter if you get pregnant you should never think about getting an abortion. If your dumb enough to go off and get pregnant and not be safe then you should take care of your child not kill it. No one should be allowed to get an abortion for a mistake that they made and not be responsible. On the other hand though, people can consider it if you get raped. Then you should have the choice if you want to get an abortion. But always if it comes to that situation you can always put the baby up for adoption. Don't just go off and get pregnant and decide to get an abortion, it's basically murder. Why or who would want to kill a little baby? I never would. That's why for pregnant women out there should really think twice if you are planning to get an abortion. You don't want to do it, how could you do it? There are more than a million abortions getting done out there PER YEAR! that's a lot of dead baby's, and it's sad to think about it. You should feel bad when you go off getting pregnant and decide to get an abortion because then you feel like you can't pay for the kid or you won't have a roof over its head. Well that's your fault if you didn't want the kid you shouldve been safe because then look what your going to put that baby through. Don't think about getting an abortion because I'm sure you will regret it one day, if you get pregnant do the best that you can to raise your baby. You have to remember not to give up and you have to be strong and be successful so that your child can have a great life. My mom had me when she was 16 and I'm living a good life, she did what she had to do to raise me good and be a good mom. She worked hard to get through her teenage life as a mom. Anyone can do it, no matter what your age is and that's what i believe because it happened to one special person in my life. So if you get pregnant keep your baby and take care of it, learn from your mistakes! and most DEFFINATELY be safe if you don't think you're ready to have a kid. It's better than getting pregnant and getting an abortion for a mistake that you made. So think twice and make the right decision! :]

What if the couple was being safe, birth control is never 100% effective. Do you honestly think women shouldn't have the right to choose. I"m not saying that I'm for abortions and I know that I would never have one myself, but their are already so many kids in foster homes and orphanages, what if they don't want to bring a baby into the world to live that life? It would definitely be a tough decision to make.
I am pro choice, I think that it is all the choice of the person. You never choose to get pregnant, it just kind of happens its called the cycle of life. I think that some girls that get pregnant and have an abortion, some do it for all the rght reasons like they know that they will not be able to care for a baby in the way it needs. But dont get me wrong I'm not saying that all people do it for the same reasons there are same out there that just dont want the baby, I do agree with you when you say that they should take responsibality for there actions, but not all do. Personaly I would never have the heart or be able to have an abortion my self. Abortion is so sad. "1 milion babies are being killed per year" i think that womens that get pregant and want an abortion are dumd because they want to kill their baby. They should of used protection and thought of it frist than just getting an abortion. But getting rape is a diffrent story the person should decide to get an abotion or not. I agree with xAsianx!! I'm not sure that I would call people "dumb" for getting pregnant -- many that become sexually active are not ready to make huge decisions that important -- like use safety. Some are very naive. Some are in denial that it could happen. But regardless you state your opinion well and with much passion. I would like to see more hyperlinking to your resources so that the issue becomes more than just emotion. What do the stats say on percent of women who end up regretting the act? What percent who reluctantly agree to have the child later say it was the best decision they ever made and are so glad they did not abort? I'd like to see some evidence leaning in this area as well.
